INTERNATIONAL GROUPS: Updates
Each month we strive to give you an update from some of our international groups and how they add value to local practices. This month we showcase the Asia-Pacific, Latin America and EU working groups.
The next Asia-Pacific group meeting will be on 7 April 2021.
On Thursday 18 March 2021, EU Law group members participated in the webinar The Whistleblowing Directive – A Gamechanger? Speakers were Gautier Busschaert (Van Olmen & Wynant, Belgium), Florence Bacquet (Flichy Grangé, France), Kristian Foss Aalmo (Storeng, Beck & Due Lund, Norway), and Michael Witteler (Pusch Wahlig Workplace Law, Germany). The webinar was moderated by John Sander (Jackson Lewis, USA).
155 clients and contacts registered for the webinar and 69 attendees participated in the webinar. Follow-up actions will not only come from the speakers and moderator, but also the partners from other member firms whose clients attended or registered for the webinar.
On 16 and 17 March, our Mexican firm De la Vega & Martínez Rojas, S.C. organised their Annual Conference on Labour Challenges 2021. The virtual seminar featured the following topics: The Change of Government in the United States of America, effects on Mexico; Rapid Response Mechanisms in the USMCA; Collective Bargaining Agreements, Legitimation or not?; The New Labour Justice; Data privacy, diversity and inclusion; Reform to the Federal Labour Law on Subcontracting Matters / on Teleworking matters; Effects of the Continuation of the COVID-19 Pandemic; Global Mobility – The Immigration Topic; and the Future of Work.
